About the search facility

You can use the search facility to search through the text on the pages and certain database entries.

Using wild cards

Apart from using regular search strings, it is possible to use wild cards.

*

Any number of characters within a word. e.d. "R*ach" will find "Research"

? or .

Any single character. E.g. "R?search" or "R.search" will find "Research"

+

Will find all the words that are separated with + in the order given. E.g. "sand +extracted" will find "sand has been extracted", but will not find "extracted sand"

N.B. you don't need to put your search string between quotes!

Illegal characters

The following characters will be removed from the search string prior to the search.
