The NCK programme committee establishes the framework for the research to be carried out by NCK. Based on this framework, researchers prepare proposals, which NCK submits for funding to national and international agencies.

Since 1998 a part time Programme Secretary has been appointed. His/her tasks are amongst others:

  • drafting and keeping up to date of the research programme in cooperation with the Programming Committee;
  • stimulating joint NCK research projects;
  • increasing the visability of NCK, both inside the NCK partner organisations and external (national and international).

The NCK Programming Committee and the Programme Secretary are supervised by the NCK Directory Board. During the period 1998-2003, ir. Ad van Os fulfilled the role of NCK Programme Secretary. As of January 1st, 2004, he was succeeded by dr.ir. Stefan Aarninkhof, dr.ir. Mark van Koningsveld and subsequently by dr. Bert van der Valk.
