First announcement NCK-days 2008

Location Deltares

We are pleased to announce the NCK-days 2008. The NCK-days 2008 are scheduled for March 27 and 28 and will be hosted by Deltares (at the present location of Delft Hydraulics).

The NCK-days aim to be a platform for sharing coastal research in the Netherlands. Additionally, they offer the possibility to put the ongoing research into a wider perspective of relevance and future developments. Apart from plenar presentations there will be possibility to present posters for stimulating more individual discussion on research topics. The abstracts will be collected and published in a Book of abstracts prior to the venue.

By tradition a social event is organised on Wednesday evening (March 26) and an excursion is planned for Saturday March 29.

We hereby invite you for the NCK-days 2008 and ask to make a reservation in your agenda. The application form can be accessed here.

Abstracts

Abstracts must be submitted to NCK-days2008@deltares.nl (do not use the registration form on the website). Deadline for submission is January 31. Please indicate in your e-mail whether you are submitting an abstract for a presentation or a poster. Abstracts can be submitted within the framework of the NCK research themes (to be found at http://www.nck-web.org/). Abstracts are welcome in the form of a brief (one page) overview of your work. We would appreciate if you could follow the format of the template abstract.

Based on the submissions, a more detailed program will be available on March 1st, 2008.
