 UT Logo Sta Black ENAre you interested in doing detailed numerical modeling to better understand coastal nourishment morphodynamics? The Marine and Fluvial Systems group in the Civil Engineering and Management Department is looking for a motivated PhD researcher to strengthen their team.

This research position is part of the NWO-funded SOURCE program, which aims to develop sustainable sand nourishment strategies to create resilient coastal ecosystems. The project focuses on understanding and modeling cross-shore sand transport processes using advanced numerical models validated with lab and field data, and translating this knowledge into practical tools for predicting nourishment performance. You will work closely with academic and societal partners, including Deltares, contribute to Living Labs along the Dutch coast, and share results through conferences and scientific publications.
